From the beginning, we felt comfortable and welcomed. We visited Snoqualmie Falls, and due to some closures in hiking trails, did an impromptu visit to a local brewery for a craft beer (which no one objected). We visited three local wineries in three completely different locations and were able to buy a few bottles to take home. The drive was a perfect way to explore outside of the city, especially on our first day in Seattle.…”

Wine Tasting Experience at Silvara Cellars Leavenworth - The room and group size

Wine Tasting Experience at Silvara Cellars Leavenworth

10.Wine Tasting Experience at Silvara Cellars Leavenworth

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 20 reviews · 1 hour 15 minutes (approx.) · from $109

At Silvara Cellars in Leavenworth, a Washington wine specialist leads you through five 1.6-ounce pours, each paired with cheese, nuts, and crackers. Sessions run about 60 to 75 minutes, with a maximum of 12 people. You’ll hear about Washington wine and Silvara’s bottles; Nielsen has been praised for making the tasting both lively and educational.

“When we arrived at the location, no one was there and the building was dark. After waiting awhile, a nice employee showed up. She advised the owner was out of town, the person who does the tasting had left, and she/they are not advised who is coming for the tasting. She did offer us a bottle of wine, but considering how much I’d spent on this and it was supposed to be 5 different tastings, I opted to decline the bottle of wine. I’m still waiting to get my money back. Very disappointed. It was not this employees fault. The owner should be on top of this.”
